Great Pumpkin Give Away 2026
Thank you for attending Oak Bank’s Great Pumpkin Giveaway on Saturday, October 10th, 9am to noon.
Families joined us behind our building in the parking lot at 5951 McKee Road in Fitchburg, to pick out pumpkins, grab a goodie bag (while supplies lasted) and enjoy tractor-drawn carriage rides. Kids had the opportunity to meet local mascots and play family-friendly games.
For a $5 suggested donation, attendees enjoyed fun fall activities and took home a pumpkin! All cash donations collected during the event were donated to GiGi's Playhouse Madison.
This year, the Fitchburg Fire Rescue hosted an Open House at Fitchburg Fire Station No. 2 (across the parking lot from the Pumpkin Give Away), also from 9am to noon. At the event, the community met local firefighters, checked out firefighting trucks and safety equipment, and grabbed snacks!
Why Oak Bank Does the Pumpkin Give Away
Each year, Oak Bank collects donations during the Pumpkin Give Away to benefit a local charity. This year's event supported GiGi's Playhouse - Madison, a nonprofit providing free programs for individuals with Down syndrome.
GiGi’s Playhouse is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the way the world views Down syndrome and promoting global acceptance for all. Through a lifetime commitment to families, GiGi’s Playhouse provides FREE educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community. Their vision is a world where every individual with Down syndrome is accepted and embraced in their families, schools, and communities.
